Tanya MOLSKAYA “squiglet”

Spring exhibition -> end of May. Geneva.

Chers amis,

In collaboration with our bookstore “Rameau d’Or”, I am pleased to present to you the original drawings of Tanya Molskaya.

Your visit to the bookstore will thus enrich you doubly.

“Born in St. Petersburg, Tanya Molskaya studied visual arts at Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) in California. His drawings are inspired by a spontaneous technique, called “squiggle” in English, which consists of imagining a representation from an abstract line which intersects or forms a loop. With an economy of means, the lines added by the artist end up revealing a silhouette, a face, an object, sometimes a landscape. Very influenced by the music she listens to while drawing, the titles of her works are often a nod to the pieces that inspired them... From Vivaldi to Daft Punk, each drawing is also a title added to this silent discography! »

“What she does is very free. Her drawings are nocturnal, full of a drama that I could describe as eastern, which she treats with a lightness that makes all its simplicity. These are intentions. Directions. Wide movements. His features are sure and seem detached. His particular style almost always places the human being at the center. Everything is joy with her. Here we have the chance to market the original designs.”
