Full of symbolism and mystery, this painting evokes this old Nordic myth, where the original being taking a human silhouette, extending an arm and holding an animal organ, gave the title "Lamhfahda" meaning "long arms", and suggests a sacrificial or ritual act. The choice to represent the acolyte in the form of a wild boar adds a mythical and archaic dimension to the work. The representation of the wild boar in different states and forms, such as the hanging skin or the crouching animal, suggests an exploration of the different phases of life, of the deep bond between the first man and his companion, the animal.
