LE TEMPS DES CERISES
Like the text by Jean Baptiste Clément 1866, the collective exhibition by Chloé Peytermann and Nicolay Cherdnichenko also evokes love and revolt.
This floral ensemble releases an energetic but balanced vibration that seduces me. It is close to nature. It gave me the impression of a cherry orchard in bloom where the strong branches contrast with the lightness of the flowers, with their fragility.
The exhibition is honest and promises direct dialogue.
In both the ceramics and the paintings presented, the material takes a preponderant place. Palpable, I can feel the trace of the artists' hand.
Chloé Peytermann, a ceramist, lived and studied in Geneva before settling in Dieulefit. Her work is represented by several European galleries as well as across the Atlantic.
Nicolay Cherdnichenko, a native of Moscow, is an established artist who has been isolated in provincial Moscow since recent events. His work is included in several prestigious collections, including the JF Kennedy Presidential Library and the Perth Art Gallery.
We are very pleased to welcome you to the exhibition and to present this new hanging.
