In "Duo Singulier 2026" each artist signs their work separately. 

The Denegri couple live and exchange ideas about the process and the research, but each pursues their artistic path independently. 

The exhibition mainly features wall-mounted works. It consists of medium and large-format pieces. 

I remember him saying, "His work reconciles me with contemporary painting," when I met Mael and Igor Denegri in September 2019. They had come to the summer gallery to see a group exhibition. It took that time for us to get to know each other and for our collaboration to begin. 

We have the immense pleasure of inviting you to discover this new exhibition. This is a selection that is as dense as it is airy. 

In Mael Denegri's "Safe Place" series, calmness and torpor clash. 

Mael and Igor Denegri work together. They draw inspiration from each other, constantly discussing their research process and what results from it. 

Both artists have an intellectual bent and an engaged approach to the history of humanity, that of art and of "Putting to Work."

 

“A transmitter of knowledge.” Hampâté Bâ. Both are sensitive to the transmission of knowledge and to their cultural heritage. She is Corsican, descended from Algerian Pied-Noir parents. He is Croatian, born in the United States. She is proud and dry-witted; he is brooding and enigmatic. 

Their work is direct. It imbues the art lover with an immediate sensation. She's boiling. Tireless, she sets the lived moment in motion. 

The hanging is made up of wall works and sculptural works.
